Cooper from Maddie x Bubba litter

Life with Cooper Pooper ( yes, the name stuck with him 😆); is never dull!  He still LOVES belly rubs and does a cute little growl if you stop before he is ready.  Our ( not so little anymore) purple collared boy is very energetic and wants love and attention all the time, which of course he gets!!  He has sit, lay down, shake, and roll over command’s down. We are still working on stay, and the defiant down, and no.  Cooper is good tempered and cuddly little guy and we love him very much!!

Kona from Maddie x Bubba litter

Kona was the blue collar (male), one of the smallest of the litter.

Kona lives with my wife and I and two sisters, a junior in high school and a junior in college.  We live just north of Columbus, Ohio.  We are an active family and Kona fits right into our busy lifestyle which was exactly what we were looking for.  We own our own business so he gets to go to our office most days as our official guest greeter.  He loves camping, long walks, is very friendly to people and other pets.

He went to a 3-week obedience  trainer and came back well mannered which was a game changer.  He learned walking on and off leash and all the other commands.  The off the leash training was great as we enjoy hiking wooded trails and allowing him to explore.  He has an incredible sense of smell and have just  started working with him to be a bird dog.  His favorite thing to smell and seek is wild mushrooms which is tough to keep him from eating on those walks through the woods.

He is a very handsome boy!  It’s amazing the number of compliments we get.  Even our trainer asked for Melinda’s information, she quickly fell in love with Kona and didn’t want to give him back!  This white lab is a joy and a great addition to our family.

Sincerely,  Scott and Amy W.

Labrador Apollo update

Apollo lives in Minnesota. He is a Rose and Bo son from our litter last year, and my gosh, what a good looking boy huh?!  He gets to go to work (and pretty much everywhere) with his master John.  John reports that Apollo thinks HE owns the place!

White Labradors Sadie and Bubba M.

II had the pleasure of visiting with a couple of dogs from our breeding program the other day. Sadie is a Mikko daughter and looks SO much like her momma, such a beautiful girl! And Bubba was named after our very own Bubba, even thouhg he is not his dad. This Bubba is a Willie and Rosie boy. What a great looking pair they are!!

English White Lab Hunting Puppies

White Lab Hunting PuppiesWhite Labradors are known to be excellent hunting dogs. They have endless energy, are eager to please their owner, easy to train, loyal and intelligent, and have that natural desire to retrieve things. White labs can be taught to hunt birds, ducks, geese, fish and other prey. What sets a good hunting puppy apart from a household pet is simple — training.

If you are planning to adopt a puppy as a hunting companion, you want to begin training early. In addition to house training, it is important to train hunting puppies to learn basic commands like “sit”, “stay”, and “come” early so that they have a strong basic foundation once they get old enough to learn more complicated commands. Short, daily training sessions are generally most effective for young dogs, beginning at about eight weeks old

White Labrador Guinness

Guinness looks great in the snow!  Such a handsome white Labrador boy, his parents are Pearl and Joe.  We are so happy to get updates on him regularly. He was the biggest boy in his litter, and we LOVE our big boy Labs!
